I believe this is possible. Saw it sometime a long time ago.

Think the process is something like exporting the Pattern Sequence to Song Mode, and then from Song Mode you can render it to a USB stick.

No. The “MIDI” (Song), “Audio”, and “Pattern” PLAY/REC features are each a target of the “Performance Recorder” function. The source in each case is the MONTAGE.
