Is there a way to set the time response of release samples in a program?? For example in a piano program if you play staccato, you will hear resonance voices after each note. however if you push and wait 2-3- seconds you wont hear the resonance release samples. In nord and other modelled piano samples (i use nord and ravenscroft 275 piano for ios) they use this technique. In montage if you wait longer, when you release the note you always hear release samples. this must be very easy. I tried to use motion sequencer but it is not so fluent.
In MONTAGE you can have Key-Off trigger an AWM2 Element. This is apart of the MONTAGE’s XA CONTROL (Expanded Articulation Control)... “Key-Off” translates to the moment the finger releases the Key or if the Sustain pedal is engaged, it is when the foot releases the pedal. This was developed specifically to mimic the behavior of musical instruments that have muting mechanism associated with the note end. This can be used to great effect in acoustic and electric pianos, harpsichords, clavichords, clavinets, finger picked guitars and basses, etc. or on any sound you create where you wish the Key-Off gesture to trigger a sound.
On MONTAGE when you finally release the Key (Key-Off) you create an instruction for the XA CONTROL Element set to “Key-Off” to play.
What the MONTAGE triggers will depend on the Waveform that Element is set to reference... it could be almost any sound you desire.
Sorry, I don’t know and you don’t say, exactly, what you are attempting to do. What does the Motion Sequence have to do with what you’re attempting?
It is just for playing staccato. If you try nord or other modeling pianos eg ravenscraft. Whenever you release the key, you hear resonance noise. In korg Kronos it called note release noise. All the Yamaha keyboards are so artificial when playing staccato. Theee must be a solution ??
😀
I've posted about the release samples before. One problem is that the velocity you play the key-on samples is the velocity the key-off samples are played at. So if you strike a note at FFF, let the sound die down to silence, and then lift your hand - the key off sample will scream out at an artificially high volume.
What I've done personally to fix this is to force key-off samples at a constant volume (as one fix) by adjusting that element's velocity curve.
