Request for next Firmware update - scene buttons for mute toggle of external zones

Yesterday I spent the day setting up my Montage with my Brainspawn Forte setup. I use Forte for VB3 organ and OP-X II. This was my first deep dive in attempting to integrate internal and external sounds using zones on Montage.

The biggest limitation I see is not being able to toggle mute external parts using the scene buttons. OR alternatively, the Keyboard button on each part on the touch display.

If this is something that can be added with a firmware update, it sure would make things more convenient.

I would use the Montage for everything but the organs just don't cut it for me. That's why I prefer using a laptop and a few VSTs in addition to Montage.

I was asked this a minute ago... I really don't think Scenes are the place for this solution. Scenes work on internal synth functions. What you need for external device should not burden internal controls. Better would be using sixteen switches, 8 for internal Zones, 8 for external Zones... In the meantime, there are many, many ways to mute external synths - if they have any MIDI capability at all.

I miss the point. I use a v synth gt as ad input and I thought it was possible to set in the 8 scene the mute/toggle ad input?

I thought it was possible to set in the 8 scene the mute/toggle ad input?

The [SCENE] can memorize the status of the Synth Part's [MUTE] buttons. The A/D Input Part does not have a [MUTE] button. You can assign control over the A/D Input Part's volume, and it's send amounts to the Effects.

Therefore, you can mute (as in instantly turn down volume) of the A/D Input. I always put the button in brackets ... [MUTE] so I can differentiate the button from the word as used in common language.

With the A/D Input - you assign a controller to determine the volume of the A/D Input, say to an AssignKnob. You can then control the volume of the A/D input directly and/or you can link the control of that AssignKnob to the Super Knob. The position of the Super Knob is storable in Scenes. So you can recall whether or not the volume of the A/D Input is turned up with the press of a [SCENE] button.

The discussion here is about the Master Keyboard function and being able to turn On/Off external Zones using front panel buttons as in the XF - a completely different topic.

OK. I got it. a mute button for the AD part could have been useful too , more straight way.

My 5 cents. The organs are good...but the Leslie effect not so much.
The Reface YC sounds muuuuuch better to me (don't tell me it's the same Bad Mister 😉 )

Tjeck it out Dennis:

Maybe this is an option for you instead of having to drag your laptop to the stage. A Reface YC through midi...

I really wish the Montage would have the modelling engines from the YC and the CS. I tried them both in person several times, they really sound superb.
