Suitable touch screens for Montage

Assuming that Dell S2240T is apparently out of stock - at least in Europe - are there alternative brands and/or models that can be connected to the Montage through Plugable video adapter and relevant cables?
Is there somewhere a graphic scheme that clearly displays how the connections are made?

Thanks!

Well, it's quite thrilling to answer to myself...
There's another touch monitor that can be connected to the Montage, through Plugable video adapter USB - DVI. It's the HANNspree HT161HNB.

Thanks for your reply, but as a European customer living in Italy, by the way unable to read Japanese ideograms, I would have never been able to find those touch screens.

Hello,

I should clarify that the external monitor set up is technically an unsupported feature.

Clearly there are a few that do work, but most do not, and the monitor market changes rapidly. We have found a few that worked (like the aforementioned Dell monitor) but by the time we can get around to a proper test that model it is often discontinued and the replacement doesn't work.

The issue is the signal that is transmitted via USB is very non-standard (not to mention that USB itself is also a non-standard monitor connection). I think this will remain as an "unsupported feature", meaning we can't recommend a specific model nor can we offer any insight on recommended set ups. We can only confirm that sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

@Michele:

Understood about the JP monitors - they don't work for me either on the availability front. Most of the solutions are not useful for me as a US consumer. The most useful option for me is "rolling my own" by using the parts another user has posted. This isn't a finished touch screen - but rather sub-components for the touch interface to interface with 4-wire touch screens. These are piece parts and not finished products - so it's going to look like a science experiment unless you can form an enclosure for it all (3D printing or stuffing parts into some other gutted enclosure).

I have a video on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8Uch3cKD9O0

I didn't have sound but only labels. I'm not sure what other monitors work properly.
