Can the sustain pedal be used to trigger a note/sample on a Part in a Performance?

... and letting go of the sustain pedal will trigger the "key off" samples (XA control).

Current Yamaha Synthesizers: Montage Classic 7, Motif XF6, S90XS, MO6, EX5R

[quotePost id=116156]The sustain pedal acts to 'keep the KEY ON mode active'. In other words it doesn't produce a KEY ON event itself.

What is it you are actually trying to do? Are you wanting to use the pedal to trigger an arpeggio?

I worked on a library and ported over most of it's features besides a Tine Harp noise produced when pressing the sustain pedal.

Thanks for the info!
