I’ve been thinking about how to use a foot switch to switch from Scene to Scene in a Pattern. I looked at some other threads around here end it seems to be the case that this is possible if I have a pedal that can send arbitrary MIDI messages to my Montage.
I think I have found such a pedal: the Source Audio Soleman MIDI Foot Controller. It apparently can send any SysEx message to the Montage.
Now I just need to know which SysEx message to send to switch the Montage to a particular Scene. I looked through the MIDI information the Data List, but didn’t find anything that looked like what I might need.
Questions:
Are there SysEx messages that will switch the Montage to a differeny Scene? Where are they in the Data List?
Does this pedal look like it could do the job?

The Scene buttons can be set to Send/Receive either a specific CC# or can Send/Receive a Sysex message.
[UTILITY] > “Settings” > “MIDI I/O” > Set the “Scene CC” = Off (0)
When set to Off, each Scene button, 1-8, will be set to different message:
SCENE 1 __ F0 43 10 7F 1C 02 30 4C 00 00 F7
SCENE 2 __ F0 43 10 7F 1C 02 30 4C 00 01 F7
SCENE 3 __ F0 43 10 7F 1C 02 30 4C 00 02 F7

It would be easier and more efficient to use CC messages. If the pedal you're looking at can do Sysex - certainly it can do CC.
