I already have Logic Pro X and pretty comfortable with it. Montage will come with Cubase AI. Is there any intrinsic advantage, or anything Cubase can do in controlling or communicating with the Montage that I can't accomplish with Logic or another DAW?
Thanks in advance. I have my Montage ordered, pretty stoked about it!
Hi Jeff,
You can use (and are encouraged to use) the DAW you are most comfortable with, if that is Logic Pro X, that is what you should use. The Montage has 32 audio outputs via USB and any pro DAW capable of using an ASIO driver will be compatible. There is an Editor planned that will be both VST/AU compatible (due during the Summer 2016) when that arrives you will be able to take full advantage of the features of Montage.
The 32 audio outputs are setup so that you have the Main Stereo L/R plus 30 assignable outputs that can be configured as odd/even stereo pairs or as individual sends as you require.
