Hi, everyone.
I am the proud owner of Motif XF7 and really enjoy it over and over again. It sounds great on headphones, love it's piano sounds. My problem occurs when I get tired of headphones and wanted play it on speakers. I own HS7 Yamaha studio Speakers. Once played over monitors, my Motif doesn't sound that well. The sound is kind of odd. Before MOTIF XF I owned a Clavinova piano. This instrument sounded so well on the build in speakers. I would love to have speakers and enjoy in my Motif same way as I did that time. I was turning forums and internet upside down and could not find anything for this purpose - home playing - not at the stage. I would like to have small speakers to provide me same quality as my MOTIF sounds on headphones or previously my Clavinova. Every suggestion is welcome. Thanks.
Danny
The HS7 Studio Monitors should reproduce the quality sound of the synthesizer accurately. Perhaps, based on your description of liking the Clavinova sound system, perhaps you're missing having extended bass response. Studio Monitors are designed for accuracy - they tell you truly what's in the mix. If they sound odd, you should have them or your setup checked. If it's just that you enjoy full beefy sound - you should invest in the HS SubWoofer
