Hello guys.

I have a Motif XS and just bought an Arturia Keylab Essential 49 Controller and connected it directly to my Yamaha Motif XS with a MIDI cable.

I can get the 'Full Grand Piano' to play with my new controller but what I am looking to accomplish is having one voice come from my Motif and another voice from my controller, both using the brain from the Motif.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The only mode that accommodates this is the SONG/PATTERN MIXING mode... this is where you can place Parts on different MIDI channels.

Press [SONG]
Press [MIXING]
Select a PART 1-16
Press [EDIT]
Press [F1] VOICE
Press [SF1] VOICE
Here you can set the MIDI Channel of each Part in turn.
You transmit to whatever Part you select on the Motif XS, Place all sounds you want to trigger from the external keyboard on the channel you are set to transmit on from that controller.
