Bad Mister,
Is the correct driver for one that has a Mac Book Air version 11with a 1.8 GHz processor and memory of 4 GB the Yamaha Driver USB - Midi V1.3.2? Thanks, John

We assume you have a Motif XF (you posted in the XF forum). If you are just doing MIDI recording then the driver is the Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver version 1.3.2-2 ... you can find it here
This driver is for MIDI recording. The XF is capable of 16 bus audio via FireWire if you have the FW16E expansion board installed... this requires a different driver. Do you have an FW16E installed?

So I am clear (and you as well) what I want to do is play in my MOTIF XF midi songs that I have downloaded into CUBASE AI 9. At present that is all. Is this what you mean by "just doing MIDI recording."
I cannot find the version 1.3.2-2 you suggested. Lots of 1.3.2 but no 1.3.2-2.
I know nothing about the FW16E so I sure didn't install it. Do I need it for what I am wanting to do noted in the first paragraph.
