I have an echo (delay) in one of my performances. How do I eliminate it? I will say this performance screen shows reverb and chorus both at 64. None of my other performances has this. Thanks, John

There are several ways, but first you have to determine where the echo is coming from... in a Performance, there can be from one to four Parts. Each of the Parts can have two Insertion Effects - this is in addition to the Reverb and Chorus processors available to all four Parts. (Reverb and Chorus are referred to as the System Effects).

If you think of a Performance as having four musicians then - each musician has two of their own Effects, plus each is plugged into the band's mixing console. That mixer has two Aux Sends, one feeding a Reverb, the other a Chorus (time delay) Effect... and finally there is the Master Effect applied overall.

Once you figure out exactly where your echo is coming from it should be easy for you to eliminate it or turn it down.
If you would rather use a sledgehammer rather than a jeweler's hammer, you can simply press the EFFECT ON/OFF buttons, which allow you to instantly turn off the Insertion Effects or the System Effect. When the light is Off the Effect is bypassed.

Usually if there is an Echo assigned there is a way to control it. Unfortunately, you gave us no specifics about the Performance.
Which Performance?
What Voices are used?
Often the [AF1]/[AF2] buttons are used to defeat Effect or turn them down
Sometimes the Assign 1/Assign 2 Knobs control the Insertion Effects on a Part.

We can be more helpful with a bit more info.

The Performance is USR 1-A-3. Voices are Bright Saw Pre 5-E 9; 30 Oscillators Vintage Pre 4- D 3; 3 Octave Strings Pre 4-D 6, Vintage JB AF 1 & 2 bass. Hope that is the correct info. Thanks, John
