Just wandering if anyone will be able to answer my question. I had recently purchased a Yamaha Motif XF8 to replace the MO8 I used in my studio. For some reason, I am experiencing a some noise from the MOTIF XF8 in my recording. I did not have this problem when I was using the MO8. Would anyone be able to tell me what the problem might be? As soon as I connect the XF8 to the sound card, I start to hear the disgusting noise, which is so frustrating for me right now..

What is the input sensitivity of the (unnamed) sound card?
Make sure it can handle the +6dB output of the Motif XF?
You are (my guess based on the little information provided) you are badly overloading the input on the sound card?

Thank you so much. I actually figured it out. To start with, the sound card is "FOCUSRITE" with two input. I have this power adapter from which all the studio appliances were powered. It just occurred to me to power the keyboard from another source. As soon as I did that, I had a perfect sound from the keyboard. Now the unwanted noise is gone. I really appreciate your effort and time.
