Hi,
I've loaded voices (only voices, not all the content) from EDM Expansion into the flash module. These voices come with user arpeggios. The thing is that these user arpeggios have not been loaded with the voices - the arp button is on but the user arpeggio is empty! So I've tried to locate the missing arpeggios in EDM flash content and load them manually from USB, but again, there are no arpeggios to load into the flash module! Not a single one!
Where are the arpeggios? I am curious about this. To play the actual voices the arp button must be switched offโ€ฆ.
Anyone with the same problem?

Regards,

Honzinus

I've loaded voices (only voices, not all the content) from EDM Expansion into the flash module. These voices come with user arpeggios.

But you have chosen to load "only voices, not all the content". This is why you do not see the PERFORMANCES, nor do you see the ARPEGGIO data that goes with this Library. You did not load it. Arpeggios are not apart of the Voice... an Arpeggio is an independent item that can be used by any Voice, but it is not apart of the Voice - just as a phrase played on a guitar, is not apart of the guitar. The Arpeggios are separate entities that can be linked with any Voice at anytime. The same Arp can be linked with several different Voices.

If you opted to just load the Voices, then only the Voices and the Waveforms that make them sound will be loaded into your instrument.

What you should have done...
1) Load all the data as an ALL data file. Using LOAD TYPE = ALL
Doing so would place the USER ARPS in memory linked to the VOICES and PERFORMANCES made for this Library. This way you will have the data in your MOXF exactly as the author intended... The PERFORMANCES and VOICES that are linked to the ARPEGGIOS will all be in place.

2) If you goal is to add these EDM Library sounds to existing data, then you should, first: make a backup of your current USER data as an ALL data file.
Load the EDM Library as an ALL data file - this replaces everything in your USER memory banks. You can then make a File that is a TYPE = ALL ARPEGGIO (.X6G). By making this file you can later load the ARPEGGIOS using the ALL ARPEGGIO Load Type.

Restore you back of your USER data, then you can Load "only voices", and then Load the ALL ARPEGGIO file (.X6G).

or you can Load the EDM Library as an ALL data file, then selectively Load "just" the data you wish from your other data files... (whichever results in less work).

Hey Bad Mister, thanks for your reply!
I hope I'm getting it right, but I cannot load "ALL arpeggio" directly from EDM expansion content copied to USB flash drive? ๐Ÿ™

No. Had the author provided a .X6G (All Arpeggio) file you could load just the Arpeggios... but since I'm assuming the Arps were made specifically with the provided Voices and Performances in mind, they assumed you would be loading literally "all" the data. By just loading the Voices, you avoided loading the Arps and the Performances undoubtedly where they are assigned to be used.

You can make your own .X6G file by first loading ALL then saving an All Arpeggio file Type.
