• UJ Voices Voice library
Not to be "dumb" but how do you download a 2GB library onto a maximum of a 1GB MOXF expansion module..?
You don’t! You’re reading it wrong... while they are giving you 2GB worth of data total, they recognize that not everybody likes everything... so if you like a particular offering you can select what you like and make a custom load for your Flash Board.
None of the Libraries is larger than 400MB. Some Libraries have several instruments, some are a specialty instrument. The whole concept of the Flash Board, is that you get to add data to your instrument. The factory burned in 3977 Waveform (741MB) of ROM, the Flash Board lets you select 2048 Waveforms (or up to the maximum size of your Flash Board) to be placed/burned into semi-permanent ROM.
YES, they are giving you more data than you can load. You will have to decide. One of the rules of using the Flash Board is this: never install Waveforms to your Board that you are not going to use.
There are 3977 Waveforms in Factory Preset ROM, you didn’t get to choose, Yamaha did (some you never use)... the Flash is YOURS ... you get to choose what gets placed there up to the limits (2048 Waveforms, 8192 Keybanks, or the size of the Flash Board - whichever comes first). Choose wisely.
Hope that helps.
Ah... that makes sense!
Any idea which CP1 library is of better quality/more sounds?
This Ultimate Piano or the CP1 download available for MOFX from Yamaha on their download page?
The Ultimate Piano Collection includes the CP1 data (plus other piano data).
Just to let you know... I'm trying to download the free song as advertised on the welcome email, but every song I choose leads to a "Error 404" error page 🙁
Maybe some internal links need a revision.

What free song, what email? Sorry, I'll look into it if you give some details, thanks

It did the same thing for me.
I wish I knew what either of you is talking about...
It's really not a big deal...
When you order something on Yamaha MusicSoft they ask you if you would like to receive their regular newsletter with promos, etc.
And if you click yes - then you are supposed to get a free song - they email you a code.
But, just like the other poster said - every time you try to get your free song it says "Error 404", etc.
Again, not really a big deal.
Yes, nothing really important, I only wanted to warn the people running the yamaha musicsoft site that something was wrong with the internal links (and yes, I was wrong in thinking some of them were present here 😉 )
You can still get the free song, though, despite the missing link. You just have to search for the song by name (from one of the songs that it says you can choose as your free song), add it to your basket (only ONE song), then apply the promo code when you check out. I know it works, as I have mine 🙂
David.

Thanks, good to know!

No, I tried but "boat on the river" is not available.
No problem, though 😉
Just so we are all clear... are you in the USA? I'm wondering if it makes a difference as to where you are located, and perhaps it's different in different locations... just a thought. I'll try to find out...
