I ask this because I want to know if I could use this to interface with other synth apps as well.
I am SO on the verge of getting the MOXF6 and this ability I have questions about is compelling me.
Sorry, you'd need to tell us about the iConnectivity device you speak of... We don't know it. Quite sure it is not a Music Production Synthesizer, or even a keyboard... so I'm not sure what similarities you are looking for, in particular.
While I can tell you about the capability of the MOXF I have no experience with the device you mention. You can connect the MOXF using a USB cable and the appropriate Camera Connection Kit adapter, to use iOS devices. Both MIDI and audio apps work.
The MOXF is iOS compatible as of firmware version 1.10
- Now allows connection to iOS. However, the confirmed operability is for version 7 or later, and is limited to iPad mini retina display models (A1489, A1490, A1491), iPad Air (A1474, A1475, A1476), 4th generation iPad (A1458, A1459, A1460) and iPhone 5s(A1453, A1457, A1518, A1528, A1530, A1533), iPhone 5c(A1507, A1516, A1526, A1529, A1532, A1456).
*The text in parentheses above indicates the model numbers, and they are listed on the back of the main body of the iPad and iPhone.
