i try to use my moxf8 with cubase elements 9 but when i press a key on the moxf8 i can hear a piano sound along with the sound i choose on cubase. when i hit a key on my moxf8 it sounds different from the sound on cubase. idk what the problem is.

You have the MIDI PORTS incorrectly set and/or you have not turned Local Control = Off.
Local Control Off allows you to use the MOXF as a controller sending data Out via MIDI without triggering itself.
Press [UTILITY]
Press [F6] MIDI
Press [SF2] SWITCH
Set LocalCtrl = Off
Remember to set it back to On when working without the computer.
