Hi.
I have a problem with cubase and my moxf8.
Using cubase AI 8.
When starting cubase and moxf is connected it uses yamaha driver for midi and audio.
Starting a new song, moxf 16 ch midi and 2 stereo rec....
Then open VST editor and I always get something like ports not properly set in host app and its offline.
Then I click online and get settings.
A /! And "Port in the host app have not been properly set." Usb device shows !4 - MOXF6/MOXF8.
I have to manually set it to MOXF 1 and do a sync. Then it works.
I have to do this every time. If I open a song I worked on yesterday I have to do this again.... Every time.
How... do I make this default? So I don't have to spend time on this and sync of everything every startup I do. Midi through will not work if I dont do this.
Gear:
Win Pro 10-64bit, Intel i5
Cubase AI 8 latest.
Latest driver from Yamaha
MOXF os 1.10 but that should not be the problem....
Have tested uninstall, Tested on win 7 pro earlier and that has the same problem.
Tested all USB ports.
Removed and tested again....
Always the same. Why!?
Please help.

At the point you say "...it works."... That is when you go to File and select the option SAVE AS TEMPLATE... Doing so will allow you to name and save your setup; anytime you want to use your MOXF you can launch your custom setup, it will appear with the other New Project Templates when you launch Cubase.
With a Windows computer you may find it necessary to dedicate specific ports on your computer for specific devices... That is, always connect your MOXF to the same physical USB port on your Windows computer.
As an alternate method, since you are using the MOXF VST would be to save your favorite setup as the "Default" Mix when launching the MOXF VST... this is explained in our RESOURCES area:
