I'm trying to connect my MX to my computer and use it with Reaper.
MX49 V2 (I think. It has white lcd background with black letters)
Lenovo x60 running Windows 7
USB cable
Reaper
M-audio Uno usb to midi cable
When I connect the usb cable I see a message that says: installing device driver. After awhile it says: device driver failed to install properly. I also tried using the usb to midi to connect. It didn't work at all. What do I try now?

You need to download and install the “Yamaha Steinberg USB ASIO Driver” v1.10.0 for Windows
You can find this on the official MX Product Page on your regional Yamaha.com website. The role of the driver is to “teach” your computer how to communicate MIDI and audio with your MX.
