No, the Rhythm Patterns on the MX are fixed playback. You would need to move up to the MODX to get what Yamaha calls “Play FX” which allow for real-time offsets to Swing Quantize.

Thanks....that's what I figured. I did briefly have the MODX and did the "downgrade" to MX because I didn't find it intuitive when writing/jamming....sure loved the sounds and the effects setup tho.
