I'm a proud new owner of an MX49. I'm trying to figure out how I set the Transmit channel? I see in a couple guides that discuss that you can change the Tx channel, but how? I reviewed the Utility / Midi section but nothing has a Tx channel option. Operational guide shows it exists but I can't find the option anywhere in the manual.
Please advise.. pretty import function for me to have access to.

thank you

Neil

You don’t say what your application is but you can have your MX49 Transmit Out via MIDI on any channel 1-16.
Press [PART SELECT]
Press a number button [1]-[16] corresponding to the Channel you wish to transmit on.

Local Control determines whether the internal tone generator will also respond.

Hi! thanks for the info Bad Mister! I'll look to try your suggestion asap. My immediate need is just to have mx49 act as a controller Transmitting on channel 2 to another workstation (and use the local control volume to add other sounds at the same time).
I've upgraded from a controller keyboard to this and that was the functionality of the controller keyboard.
I'll post back after I try .. probably on the weekend. Thanks again!

That's it!.. Thank you for the prompt assistance Bad Mister. Looking through all the manuals, I don't think I would have found this at all as there is no terminology that by selecting a part is what will trigger /determine what the Tx channel is.. not the way my old school midi head interprets things from other synths I've used. But it's all good now.
thanks again!
