I think I’m missing something pretty simple here. Working on a performance mode and changing between chords seemed really choppy. As I messed about a bit more I figure out that after I played the 7th note together (in both performance and voice mode) that the first notes would abruptly cut out.

I’m sure there is either a)something that is setup incorrectly or b) there is something wrong or I misunderstood 128 note polyphony. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

When you exceed the polyphony of the synthesizer the behavior will be very much as you describe. In making your own Performances be careful not to exceed the 128 Notes of polyphony provided. Also you should select sounds that are in poly mode, selecting a mono sound and layering it with poly sounds can cause choppy behavior.

If you want help with your issue describe the sound you’ve created in some detail, otherwise our advice is to choose sounds wisely when creating your own Performances. Or you can look up in the DATA LIST booklet how many notes of polyphony each Voice uses per Key pressed.
