Trying to connect mx88 to logic to use as interface. logic sounds are coming through but so is the mx's own sound. How do i get rid of that?

The parameter is called LOCAL CONTROL. When On, the MX triggers its own tone generator. When Off, the key presses travel Out via MIDI to your DAW (Logic), where you determine by the currently active track what tone generator is triggered.

Press [UTILITY]
Select "MIDI"
Cursor to "LocalCtrl" and set it to Off.

This disconnects the MX keys from the MX tone generator, and is the setting you would use when interfacing a DAW with a hardware synthesizer.
