I have an MX61. I have John Melas MX complete pack. I saw someone on this forum somewhere say they had success using it to import the MOX version of vintage keys to his MX. I found where that was, listened to the samples, it sounded good, so I bought vintage keys from yamahamusicsoft choosing the MOX files. I open the file in MX total librarian and the names of each voice make no sense to me. I would expect the first voice to be "Suitcase 1965" but it is called "Everlastin". I don't think any of the voices sound like they are supposed to. I am going to assume that I will not be able to convert these voices to the MX but any insight would be appreciated.

the MOX has several Banks of 128 sounds (3). Often when sounds are sold they only overwrite one of the Banks. The Vintage Keys data only fills one of the three MOX Banks with 128

The MX has just one User Bank of 128

“Everlasting” is the first sound in User Bank 1 of the MOX
The Vintage Keys are in the second or third User Bank.

When using the MX Total Librarian to convert “Native File formats...”
You can see the three User Banks of the MOX Source File.
Deselect User 1, and try one of the other Banks. If you didn’t read the instructions or perhaps they didn’t provide any, (usually they tell you in which Bank the new Voices are programmed), then you will simply have to try one of the others... until you find them. The Vintage Bank starts with “Suitcase1965”

The Names may be truncated when loaded into the MX, because the MOX allows twenty characters for the name, the MX only allows ten...

Extra Credit: Just so you know, when loading User Voices to the MX, the new sounds are added to the end of the List by Category. That means, you’ll need to know the Category when looking for the Voice.

AP = Acoustic Piano
KB = Keyboards (Rhodes, Wurlis, Clavs, etc)
OR = Organ
and so on.

Hopefully, you did get the documentation. Because you will need to locate the sounds by Category.
Or use the Total Librarian to Bulk the sound to your MX via USB-MIDI

You are right. It was in the 3rd user bank. I had to uncheck the first bank before I could check the other banks. I have the documentation. Thanks for the help.
