Question About the Montage Audio Recording Feature

What exactly does the Audio Recording feature capture on the USB Stick?

All native Montage Performance sounds (different scenes, different arps and instrument parts of the Performance)?

Can I switch to other Performances during the recording via the Live Set feature?

Does it also capture the A/D Input Part? ( for example a second keyboard controlled by Montage via Midi)

What About the USB part ( a VST instrument played via Midi)?

Basically does every sound that goes out the Main L/R get recorded?

The stereo output. You can record your performance on the instrument as WAV format (44.1-kHz, 24- bit, stereo) audio files to a USB flash memory device. It is possible to record continuously for up to 74 minutes (assuming that the USB storage device has sufficient free memory).

Yes.

No. If that is what you wish to do connect the Montage to your computer or iPad and use software.

Yes.

I have not tried this and cannot give you an answer. I don't know. Certainly you can return audio from a computer but at that point why not just record everything to the computer? Where advanced delay compensation could make up for the time it takes the computer to generate that VSTi. Frankly, I have never even thought to do that kind of routing to record to a USB stick. If I'm in the computer anyway I'd just record there. If I have choice between a USB stick and the computer, hmmm, I'd opt for the computer hard drive. What's you're application?

Certainly anything that the Montage generates and the A/D Input which has its own Montage Part and its own dual Insert Effect.

Thanks BM. Yes the computer is the first choice. I just wanted to understand what is possible with the Montage Audio recording as a secondary option
If it records the stereo output It may include any VST since that is heard via those outputs.
