The reface CP can be transposed via MIDI "Parameter Change" message.

Can you please give me a few examples how can transmit a MIDI Parameter Change message .I would like to be able to transpose down 6 semitones. Would I have to do this every time I turned on and off or could I set this permanently. Thanks for your help.

Sorry, but we are not at all sure what you are attempting to do. Your question is clear enough, your intention is not. Transposing the reface CP (-6 semitones) will mean that it transmits F#2 when you press middle "C" (C3). Is that what you want to do? (I ask because many people mixup "Transpose" with "Note Shift".)

F0 43 10 7F 1C 04 00 00 07 3A F7

F0 _start of System Exclusive message
43 _manufacturer (Yamaha) ID
10 _Parameter Change, first device
7F 1C 04 _reface CP product ID
00 00 07 _System parameter Transpose
3A _minus 6 semitones (normal tune = 40(h))
F7 _end of System Exclusive message

The reface CP can be Transposed +/-12 semitones (34 ~ 40 ~ 4C) where 40 is normal tuning. (-12 ~ 0 ~ +12)

Transpose is a function of the keyboard as a controller.
Note Shift is a function of the tone generator shifting how it sounds to incoming messages.

If you are playing the reface CP from an external controller keyboard, changing the reface CP's transpose will not give you what you want. If you want the reface CP to change up or down in response to an external controller, again that is a function of the controller keyboard. (That's why we asked the question).

Yes I want C2 to play F#2, this makes it easier for me to play in keys that are in my vocal range. I was hoping internally reset the
CP tuning down. So I dont have to continually repeat this process.
How would I send that midi parameter message via another midi keyboard? I want to eventually get another reface keyboard to play with my left hand. Sometimes I transpose the left hand keyboard for bass and will transpose up 2 octaves or a couple steps. It might sound strange but it works for me. Its kind of like having a 61 note split keyboard where I can freely transpose the lower or upper zones independently from the other. I'm more of a Piano player than a midi expert. So, thanks for your advice. Is this going to be a hassle on the CP? I hope this makes sense.
also, the code you posted , Where would I enter that?

Sorry, I don't know... You have not given us any information about what you are working with. If I was in your situation I would send this message from a MIDI sequencer - I have one built-in my controller, or from a computer. I would insert the Parameter Change message to Track 1 of my Motif XF or MOXF. Or enter it in my DAW. You have not told us anything about what gear you are using so we can't really tell you what YOUR options are. The Parameter Change message is a System Exclusive message that can address the reface through MIDI.
