I got this great machine about a week ago and just about go my head around it but can't for the life of me work out how to save a unique tempo to a user pattern? Its like the tempo is set for any song or pattern universally. I can go in and change the tempo on the pattern before playing the song but it doesn't seem to save it. I want to use it for live work so need to save each user pattern with its own tempo. Just seems no way to do it. I notice the factory presets have various tempos that are saved in the machine. Hoping someone can help 🙂

The only info I found is in the manual on page 37

https://usa.yamaha.com/files/download/other_assets/0/317230/RY30E.pdf

It says you can edit a song and set the tempo that the song will always start with.

Hope that helps.

But isn't that the same info Bad Mister provided in that other thread?

Thanks for that bro. I saw that post. I really need to set the temp on patterns rather than songs. Only has storage for 20 songs unfortunately and no way to store them externally so not enough for me. its a weird sort of a menu, I guess they must have just been finding their way back then. There is not actual edit function as such, not even a save function. There isn't even a main menu as such. It simply saves stuff when you exit. I went back and read the other guys post too, I will see if there are any system settings like he says where you can save temps as set. Thanks again for your reply
