Hi there! I'm having an issue with my Yamaha TX7. It seems like certain patch locations have limited note range. For instance, a patch will only make sound within a few octaves, and will be silent outside of that. However, if I swap the same patch to a different location in the TX7, I have playability across the entire keyboard. This means that the issue has nothing to do with the patch programming, but is actually something to do with the patch storage location itself. The problem has existed for years, but I have only now thought to actually ask anyone about it. Has anyone had a similar problem with their FM synth, and if so, was it fixable? I have never changed the battery, so would that be something to try first?
Thanks,
Leith

That TX is over 30 years old... that would be some battery!!!
but check with Customer Support... I never opened a TX7

I agree with Bad Mister's suggestion to replace the internal battery first.
