I was thinking that something was missing or have I missed it?
I don't see where I can pan voice "A" to the left and "B" to the right channel for example or organ similarly.
They should be able to add this in an OS update.
Hey David...I added a post on IdeaScale about this a couple weeks ago...hopefully it will get incorporated in the next OS update as you suggest...seems like it should be very doable.
I don't have one, but based on my conversation with someone who does, we determined that the YC61 does indeed let you pan sounds, Using the autopan effect, if you set the Rate to zero, it becomes motionless, and the Depth knob can then be used to send the sound to the left or to the right. You will probably have to avoid routing sounds through any other effect that is inherently stereo (like the reverb, which will probably leak sound from one side into the other). Try it and post your results, if you get a chance.
also you can assign pan with your foot controller
Hey Kevin...thanks. Curious how you're doing that. I looked at the controller list on page 60 of the OM and Pan which is CC10 is in parentheses which means it doesn't work...and I tried it and indeed it doesn't.
Settings
4 controllers
3 foot controller 1
1 assign
10 pan
not sure if it really effects anything.. but its there.
Yep...what I did...does not work....which is consistent with what the OM says.
you can also assign the mod lever to pan but still i dont hear a difference
the autopan trick works too
the autopan trick works too
In further conversation with the person who told me about that, I learned that, while that panning trick workds, the fixed locations you choose are not stored when you save the preset. So you can't use this method to quickly switch among numerous sounds that you want to have panned the same way every time you use them (i.e. to send the organ sound out one side to a Ventilator pedal, or to send left hand bass out one side to a bass amp or to FOH to give the sound person separate volume control over the "bass guitar").
