Trying different workflows...., Cubase Elements

* when just stacking up a few stereo tracks from live Montage performances (complex),
* Im trying to mix down / export to an .mp3.

I stack up say 3 stereo tracks that I recorded live (no template used) ....., when I select the 3 tracks and try to export I get the error that I need to set left and right outputs/targets. I figure I'm missing something simple ... lil help please?

You are asking Cubase to export a .wav, and it is asking you starting at what measure and ending at what Measure.

You need to set the Start and End Markers. These will give Cubase the information it need to go ahead and create the data.

There are several methods to set the Start and End Markers... the ruler that extends across the top of the Track data area has two small chevrons sitting at Measure 1.1.1.0 you can click and drag one of the Markers to the spot you want End Point.

If you have a really long set of tracks... select the longest of them by highlighting its data, tap the letter "P" on your computer keyboard this will set the Start and End Points at the beginning and ending of that Track data.

Mitchell, that is very cool indeed. I'm going to try to compose something similar. I like that!
