Trying to use my motif as a simple controller to Logic Pro. Had been working fine. Power went off and on in he house and now USB not recognized by logic. Not a logic or computer problem. Isolated problem to motif. Any way to confirm the USB port is damaged

Connect the Motif to your computer via USB.
Make sure Motif is set to MIDI I/O = USB
On you Macintosh computer (we'll assume) go to SYSTEM PREFERENCES > Other > Yamaha USB-MIDI driver > double click the icon
Assuming you have the driver installed it should identify your Motif.
