Did Yamaha put their best portable keyboard samples of the CFX and Bosendorfer in the CP 88/73...?
Along with their best piano action...?
I believe their best portable implementation of CFX, Bosendorder, and action are the P-515. The action adds escapement, and while the main sound samples may or may not be identical, the CFX adds a binaural CFX, and the spec sheet lists verious other attributes which I don't believe are all in the CP series... Key-off Samples, Smooth Release, and Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM). Maybe CP has some of that, I don't know, but I think at least some is only on the P.
Thanks for the reply!
I am just going after the sound quality itself...
I am trying to find out which instrument has the best CFX and Bosendorfer samples to sample and put into a synthesizer.
The original question included "best piano action". How does the action become a consideration if your primary objective is to sample the instrument to place these samples into a different synth?
Also, if you are looking for the best instrument to sample - why is portability a consideration?
Current Yamaha Synthesizers: Montage Classic 7, Motif XF6, S90XS, MO6, EX5R
Those were two separate thoughts... 🙂
I don't care about the action - I was just saying that it was my impression that Yamaha put it's best sounding CFX and Bosendorfer samples into the CP88/73... along with their best portable piano action.
