Is Yamaha planning an OS update for the CP88 this year? I've been hoping for some improved organ samples and wonder if you will expand the "sub" section. Love the keyboard and especially the C7, and the German Grand Piano. Thank you.
I think the generally accepted official answer is "stay tuned". That's about all you would get in the past from similar roadmap questions.
I don't know one way or the other.
Current Yamaha Synthesizers: Montage Classic 7, Motif XF6, S90XS, MO6, EX5R
Very excited. I've been hoping for better organ samples too.

The basic problem is that straight sampling doesn't work very well for organ sounds, for a variety of reasons. Can you name an organ patch on any keyboard that has a sampled organ that you'd be happy with? Or even if not a specific patch, any keyboard without a dedicated organ engine that has organ sounds that you think are good?
There is an organ patch called "Jazz Organ" on the CP300 that is a decent sample. I've been requesting this of Yamaha for some time, and also included this in Idea Scale (but to no avail). I agree that most organ samples on any keyboard brand are not that good, however this Jazz Organ patch is warm and nice to layer underneath a piano sample. I hope that Yamaha will consider this in the future.

Although this Jazz Organ patch is warm and pleasant to layer beneath a piano sample, I concur that the majority of organ samples on any keyboard brand are not that fantastic.
