does the modx8 have the same electric guitar sounds from the mx88

so around 3 months ago at a church event i used the mx88 and i used the guitar sounds "distant" and "pedal steel" and dualed it with the grand piano sound. i now bought the modx8 and im wondering if the same guitar sounds from the mx88 is in the modx8 and if the sound names are different id like to know the sound names so i can use it, thanks.

The MX sounds came from the Motif XS, and those sounds are also in the MODX, so the desired sounds should be in there somewhere. But the Motif XF versions might have had two insert effects on them where the MX could only have one, so the MODX version might have an extra effect you'd need to disable to duplicate the MX version.

1) Press [CATEGORY] button

2) Touch the search area (icon with hourglass), then touch-type what you are searching for: "distant" or "pedal steel". (picture shows searching for organ)

You'll notice there is a Main-Category=Guitar Sub-Category=Electric Clean Performance "Distance" and also Performance "Pedal Steel" of the same categories.

You're going to want to learn how to use the Category Search feature to find what you're looking for - particularly in a case like this where you already know name.

Alternatively, you can open the MODX Data List and search the document for "Distant" or "Pedal Steel" which will reveal these two in the Performance list.
