Anyone seen a full list of this, or grid/matrix that does this across levels and shapes of the operators?
Specifically for FM-X, considering:
ALL 1/2 + Skirts
Odd 1/2 + Skirts
Res 1/2 + Skirts + Resonance

Maybe now that sample memory is cheap and fast, sampling techniques near perfected and the whole replication of other things done, DX style FM's time is up.

There's various sources for "recipes" of emulating common synth waveforms. Is this along the lines of what you're looking for?

Yes!
I've seen various incantations of this, for DX, nothing that covers all the wave types of FM-X :
ie:
Sine, Odd1/2, All1/2, Res1/2 and their Skirt and Res settings, in a 2 stack matrix of interesting recipes.
There's one vid I saw where a guy used an oscilloscope to do some of this, but it wasn't much.
