Just wondering what this icon that looks a bit like a seatbelt buckle is. See attached image. I found the meaning of the star (favorite) and the flag (performance has been edited) in the manual, but this seatbelt buckle isn't as obvious... it's probably buried in one of the manuals, but... quicker to ask.
Thanks.
The seatbelt icon is trying to convey a window opening up on top of another window. BM's comment from another post:
icon that denotes a pop-in menu will appear if this area is touched
Those icons are in several places in the interface. I don't see anywhere where these are documented. Just the phrase "calls up the menu" appears in the reference manual for just about every GUI item that has this icon. There's not a straight line between the icon and this feature documented however.
Current Yamaha Synthesizers: Montage Classic 7, Motif XF6, S90XS, MO6, EX5R
Every time you see it you can touch that box and get a pop-in menu... the Pop-in is coming in from the left side of the screen. It's an icon that means a pop-in menu with different executable options will appear, when you tap the box it resides in.
Which is different from the downward pointing chevron which indicates a list of parameters.
Which is different from the right point chevron which either Sets a name, stores or launches a System utility
Which is different from the two rectangles (a rectangle with a shadow rectangle) - which means tapping this box takes you to another whole screen (shortcut/wormhole).
Double tapping a box with numbers in it recalls the screen numeric keypad
