We need a Function. Like a number of Keyboards Have.
A way to use a Tool like Thrill or Kaoss. To Automate/Capture the midi to. The Setting up a performance.
And It is Not Actually Automation. Since. What I am Asking For. Is a Way For Montage. To Capture the midi info. Being used/Created. And Save it Via/to the Performance MidI settings info used for the performance.
Thrill is a very cool plug-in. For Tension(Scary stuff) But what if we could Use Thrill as a. Performance Midi input. And Eliminate. The Hand Setting of all the various Parameters. for a performance. This is something. That is being Done on Korg's New PA series. And Maybe Genos? They save the midi Data from the X/Y grid. To a performance(They call a Style)
And the settings for a Montage. Performance. Are all midi driven. (Really do not want this as a comparison to arrangers. It is just a Function request.)
So. This Should be very Doable. In the simplest of terms. Be able to set the Montage Performance settings to receive the incoming midi from a Source. Like Thrill or Kaoss. OR a NEW X/Y grid screen. And save them as a performance. If this is already Doable. Please explain it.
OR/Also
Maybe. Just add a X/Y screen. To The. Creating a Performance area.
Containing all the Performance parameters.(Look at the 'Thrill' Screen) So we could just Play it. And hear it. And capture it. For each Performance parameter. (Instead of Setting these by hand).
Whichever is easier. For Yamaha To do.

So. It is a PERFORMANCE RECORDER. Not a MIDI recorder.
It will make this so much easier to do.
And. Still An X/Y page. would Still improve on That. Tremendously!
