I'm sure this is possible somehow in the Live Set mode.

I'm trying to have multiple channels of MIDI from my DAW. Different sounds on each channel.

I'm connected through USB - so how do I route this?

Hi Ben,

Hint: it has nothing to do with Live Set...

If you are recording to a DAW, you need to start with the following:

Press [CATEGORY SEARCH]
Touch “Init”
Select “Multi/GM”

This puts you in a situation where you have an instrument in each of the 16 Parts of the Performance. You can select a different instrument for each of the Parts (initially they are all set to a Concert Grand Piano, except 10 which is set to Drums).

You can substitute for the instrument in each Part
Go to the HOME screen
Touch the “Concert Grand” in Part 1 to see the pop-in menu
Touch “Category Search”
Select an instrument sound for Part 1

We can tell you nothing else because you’ve told us nothing about your computer or your DAW.

Thanks, that may be enough to get me started.

I'm using Ableton, btw. On a Macbook.
