Hello everyone,
I have seen in a thread that one can import an audio loop into the Montage and the Montage will play and loop it so long the audio had been set up with the proper Cues externally. I have done this, but, when I import the audio into the Montage, it keeps on playing it one-shot without repeating/looping. I decided to purchased the John Melas Waveform editor and hoped that it would do the trick. However, it appears that the John Melas Waveform editor does not export files as .wav. The only option available is the Save As .X3W.
I did save the file on as .X3W after setting it up as a keybank on Loop Mode. However, after importing it as a key bank into the Montage in the normal part (not as a Drum part), while the audio did loop, it stopped the moment I let go of the key. Then, I tried importing the keybank to a Drum Init element and I did not get any sound at all. The element to which it was imported was on, however, I got no sound.
Can someone guide me please? I used Ableton live and set the files to "Render As Loop". I don't know if Pro Tools has a function to set envelop cues in an audio. In any case, I will appreciate the help.
Thanks,
if your goal is to trigger loops, you´ve chosen the completely wrong product imho. if you slice with the motif xf it automatically creates a midi phrase to trigger, and sliced audio can be tempo adjusted.
Manolo,
Thank you for your input. However, I know this is a possibility in the Montage. I just need guidance on how to go about it.
That's the thread I was referring to in my first posted question. However, I cannot hear anything when I import the X3W fileto an element from Drum Init.
I use an external loop station. It synchronizes automatically with the montage via a midi-cable. It fits perfectly at the right side of my montage 8 and can be handled by hand/fingers and by using a FS-7 dual foot switch.

Thank you for the link Bad Mister. I knew I had seen this thread somewhere. That's exactly what I was looking for. I will try this later today and report back here.
Again, thank you.
