[quotePost id=116456][quotePost id=116455][quotePost id=116451]Having used most of the devices in the context of most of the other devices, the MODX is objectively and subjectively a harder to operate Operating System.[/quotePost]
You have objectively no idea of what you're talking about, nor any idea of why you're owning a MODX.[/quotePost]

Trolling and critique aren't your best attributes, I hope.

edit for the linguistically naive: objectively (without the partiality of contrast with other products) and impartially considering what could, would and should be (and easiest ways) to empower ideal discoverable, predictable, rapid and flow state enabled usage in impartial contrast with what is (objectively contrasting what is, that is) reveals the MODX to be objectively a "hard", on a scale of easy to hard OS, because:

easy vs hard should also be considered within the context of what COULD be, SHOULD be and WOULD be expected in any Operating System's operations if it was designed to be easy-to-use, which is (after decades of OS designs) an objectively understood set of known knowns and ways of ways.

Within just this context, without contrast to other competing and/or similar devices, the Yamaha MODX is a hard to use Operating System.

eg... some... examples...

No Undo
Many destructive operations are surfaced with bad, wrong or otherwise unwanted behaviours
File management is antiquated to a level that's a bit comical
Pen and Paper required because OS has very limited copy and paste and preset store/recall features
Complete lack of compare/contrast screens for things like envelopes, filters and all other multi relationship features
No dynamic feedback and visual information (other than sound) on resultant values of complex relationships up and down from parameters to Motion/Superknob via Assigns and Curves
Many stopping behaviours when wanting to contrast sounds and features. eg change a drum kit or sound, even with arps forced to be retained, and the playback of the arps stops, etc

There's hundreds of these, each of which makes the MODX OS harder to use than it could, should or would be if it was designed to be easy to use. It is not. Therefore this is an objectively hard to use OS.

You don't comprehend the meaning of the word "objectively".

You're objectively wrong about this.

At any rate, the thread is polling for subjective opinions on ease of use. And, from responses, some find it on the "easy" side of the scale and some on the "hard". That seems to be the subjective opinions of the respondents thus far. Subject to prior keyboard use which informs basic knowledge of modern synthesizer concepts and subject to their own investment into education and comparing that experience to past experiences (if any).

Contrary opinions are not wrong in such a poll.
