Hey Yamaha/BM,
In regards to the sound design capabilities, what plugin does Montage seem to be similar to? I know this is more of a subjective answer, but I'm just curious on the comparison. Thanks a lot! Only reason I am asking this question is because I haven't seen any videos of people actually creating their own sounds with the FMX engine.

Among Plugins I believe Native Instruments FM8 would be a decent comparison.

Of course, but would the sound possibilities (disregarding motion control), be similar or greater than FM8. THanks for your reply!

Nothing, it doesn't exist a VST close to Montage, yet.
You will need probably to be closer...an Avalon Design AD2022 Dual Mono Pure Class A Preamplifier before touch your Studio Monitors...and then, maybe you will hear something like Montage....

You really can't disregard motion control, it is Motion Control that makes Montage unique.
