Hello all,
the title is pretty descriptive - on Montage, how does one find the performances (on Montage, everything is a performance) that are similar to what performances were on MOTIF / MOXF (without the single-voice one's)?
I found the performances a great source of inspiration.
Any help is appreciated.
When you browse using Performance Category Search, the Green Performances are Single, the Blue ones are Multi.
Also, at the top you have 2 menus: Bank/Favorite and Attribute.
From the Attribute mebu choose
Multi. Then it'll only show Performances with multiple Parts.
All 512 Motif XF Performances are found in your MONTAGE (They were added in an update a couple of years ago). Additionally, all 1354 individual Motif XF Voices are contained as Single Part (green) programs among the 2,739 MONTAGE Performances.
From the [PERFORMANCE (HOME)] screen:
Press [CATEGORY SEARCH]
Touch the “Bank/Favorites” box to see a drop down list of your internal Banks
Set the “Bank/Favorite” = MOTIF XF PERFORM
The result field will list all of the original Motif XF Performances (512).
You are free to play them, edit them and create your own versions — which you can [STORE] to your USER Bank.
See the “Learn” section of this site for articles that go in depth about “MONTAGifying Motif XF Performances” — a great way to learn how to learn to use many of the new MONTAGE features and to learn to navigate the MONTAGE synthesis engine.
Thank you both Dragos and Bad Mister, for providing the answer and expanding on it!
