I want to start with a drum groove (an arp) in the montage, but need to carve it up into a few different user arps so I can build from kick only (user arp 1) then add kick and hi hat (user arp 2) then add snare (user arp 3). From a workflow perspective, what's the most efficient way to do this? Is it best to export the complete arp out to a daw as midi then import the 3 different midi loops back in. Or is there a way to easily edit this from within the montage? thanks in advance

Sounds like what you propose will work... You can record the ARP OUT to your DAW and then pick and assemble the drums you find useful. There is no event editing of arpeggio data in the MONTAGE, you can use the PART NOTE LIMITS to restrict which drum Keys are sounding, but all drum data (sounding or not) is transmitted Out via MIDI. In other words, you can restrict what KEYS sound by using the PART NOTE LIMITS... if for example you only want the Latin Percussion from a particular ARP Phrase you can set the HIGH and LOW NOTE LIMITS to allow just the two octaves of Latin Percussion C3-C5. That type of thing.

But if you are going to take individual drums from different Arp Phrases it would be best to place those in a DAW where you can easily manipulate the data you wish to capture and assemble it quickly.
