Can't seem to get out of 1 stereo rec mode and back into 2 stereo rec does anyone know of settings to check?

This was a painful lesson I was able to answer my own question. When in 1 stereo mode (2 channel) the setting cannot be changed back until you enable 4 channel mode. When in utility F5 USB I/O you'll see a conspicuous setting under SF1called "outCH>" click this and you'll be able to switch to 4 channel then you can back out and change from 1 stereo to 2 stereo record.
to clarify 1 stereo is 2 signal paths and 2 stereo is 4 signal paths through your USB.
