You can change the Part Volume within the MOXF Song/Pattern Mixing by sending cc007 in via MIDI. Each Part 1-16 will, initially, receive on the correspondingly numbered MIDI channel, 1-16.

Thanks bad mister. Could you tell me which equipment models can do that?

It is not clear to me what you are asking. Sorry. Was my answer not clear?

If you are seeking to control volumes while mixing a Song or Pattern you can use the built-in Knob Functions to create side-by-side Volume and Pan controls

- press both KNOB FUNCTION button together to make them 4 Part Volumes for Performance mode and Song/Pattern mode. Four sets of four 1-4, 5-8, 9-12, 13-16
• Knobs can be configured in Performance, Song and Pattern modes so that you have four side-by-side Volume controls (top row) and four side-by-side Pan controls for quick, convenient access when performing or mixing down.

Contact your local music retailer for other options. Typically, a product that has faders that send cc007 Out via MIDI is just one of many other (principal) functions that it might perform... what are you trying to accomplish?

He was asking for external MIDI hardware that can send (assign) MIDI CC #7 to each slider of this MIDI hardware and also set the MIDI channel of each slider of this same hardware.

Probably looking for manufacturer and manufacturer part number/model for any devices which fit the bill.

In my opinion, the OP would be better served by a Motif XF with the sliders already built-in. But that may be too disruptive of a suggestion.

Before when I saw this thread, I quickly scanned through some MIDI devices that have sliders on them. I saw many that could assign CC numbers - not any that could set the MIDI channel of each slider. Not saying this is the end of the road - just a quick scan didn't turn up anything.

That's exactly what I want to do. For example, do you think the studiologic SL mixface can do that with the MoXF (for each tracks in pattern mode: level, panoramics, mute)?
Thanks to understand me 😉

You realize, of course, the MOXF front panel does all of that for itself?

You can't change 8 volume tracks at the same time from the front panel?

Four at a time (did you read this):
See this for details

Buying a device like a Motif XF to control your MOXF is not practical... neither would buying a digital mixer, unless you actually need one for other things.

Yamaha used to make a free App called “Faders & Pad” (8 virtual sliders on an iPad) ... maybe somebody makes something like that (if you already own a tablet).... but I don’t know of any hardware that *just* does cc007 on a set 8 or 16 sliders.

What is it you are trying to do? MIDI Volumes can be automated...

The Motif XF "suggestion" wasn't to use the Motif XF to control the MOXF - it was to REPLACE the MOXF with a Motif XF because the Motif has 8 sliders on the control surface itself.

But still, this is a bit disruptive although as time goes by - the difference in price between a used Motif XF and what you can get back by selling a MOXF is a relatively small tax in order to gain so much in functionality. I see Motif XF8s for under 2k and XF6s for around 1k.

... may or may not be worth the work to transfer from MOXF to Motif. There's not really direct compatibility going MOXF->Motif so you'd probably want to use JM Tools to translate. That's the disruptive part I was alluding to (moving user configuration over). And sequencer related data doesn't transfer. Not sure that JM Tools are any help here(I think not) - although I'm a novice in this area.

I want to do the exactly the same thing (Yamaha used to make a free App called “Faders & Pad” (8 virtual sliders on an iPad)) with an hardware device, a midi controller like the novation launch control XL. And I want to know if it's possible.

I've looked at a few different ones - including the very capable Behringer BCF2000 - but even that unit doesn't seem to have control over the MIDI channels for the sliders. That's not all I looked at - and the BCF2000 is not current production. I took a second look and downloaded some configuration software for the BCF2000. It can indeed set the sliders to MIDI channels 1-16 and CC7. Plus the BCF2000 has a standard MIDI port. So it looks like this should work.

There may be newer hardware that works for you as well - but the BCF2k works if you get a used one.

Here's a picture of the setup configured for this kind of control:

Note that the sliders (faders) are motorized - so this is something that you will find has some failure on used hardware. This may not matter to you if you are only concerned with control from the external gear to the MOXF and not the other way around (for changes on MOXF to be reflected on the BCF2000).

Thanks Jason, I've order a novation launch control which have the capabilities to set diffrent channel to each faders/knobs/button.
Did you know the others cc:
Volume: CC7
Panoramic: CC?
Mute: CC?
Reverb: CC?
Chorus: CC?

Thanks

Pan = cc10
Reverb = cc91
Chorus =cc93
Mute = there is no cc message for Mute.

Mutes can be handled by the MOXF front panel as it has

buttons 1-16 that act as Mute buttons when in the Song/Pattern Mode and using the internal Sequencer. Those same numbered buttons become PART Mute buttons when accessing the Tone Generator [MIXING] Mode.
Each Part has a dedicated Pan, Reverb Send, Chorus Send Knob in the Knob Function section.
