Hi I'm wondering if it is possible to link the yamaha keyboard's volume fader to the channel volume fader in Logic? Ive tried to do the learn mode in Logic but Im not sure why it doesnt recognise the fader on the keyboard as a controller. Any tips on this problem?

First, DAW REMOTE is a newly added feature to the MODX. Be sure your MODX is updated to firmware 2.50
Be sure to see the Supplementary Manual for all new feature descriptions (included with the Updater download)

The MODX will communicate with Logic Pro via USB-MIDI Port 2 for all Remote Control commands.
You’ll need to download and install the “Yamaha Steinberg USB Driver version 2.0.3 for Mac OS”
In Logic Pro you need to setup “Control Surface“ to “Mackie Control” protocol via MODX Port 2 (Both Input and Output)
At 1:42 in this video on setting up MONTAGE - You’ll see what you need to set in Logic Pro (It’s the same for MODX)

From the HOME screen tap “Remote”
This will launch the DAW REMOTE layer... this re-tasks the front panel Knobs, Sliders, Scene Buttons, and assignable controllers to function as computer DAW controls.
Touch “Settings”
Set “Logic Pro” as the DAW (very Important)

Touch “Track” along the bottom of the Remote screen, use the [] Track buttons to page over... to reach the desired Tracks you wish to control. If you have named your Logic Pro Tracks (highly recommended) those names will appear in the MODX screen.
