Hello all!

So I own a MXR M222 talkbox and trying to create a patch for it on my Yamaha MX49. Any recommendations of which patch to use (the best Saw Tooth for example) or how to program the patch? I saw someone on Instagram do it and it's been racking my brain for minute how to do it. Thank you very much in advance for the help!

The reason a Sawtooth wave is often recommended is because it contains every whole integer harmonic in the overtone series... and in general for the purpose of feeding the Talk Box Effect, the richer the source sound is in harmonics the better result you get... its going to be trial-and-error, try different sounds until you get the result that is satisfactory... the other wildcard in the equation is your own voice, and the microphone you choose. Mileage will vary... be careful as TalkBoxes can rattle your dental work 🙂
