The documentation of the MX speaks of a large number of filters, but even with a editor we can not access all? Is that possible ?

The MX has access to four filter types: LPF24, LPF18, LPF12 and LPF 6 via the VOICE EDITOR (see John Melas Complete MX Pack).

I think that the way some functions that are missing from the MX and inaccessible by the editors are presented in the Parameter Manual is a bit misleading!

Yes, that Synthesizer Parameter Manual (printed in 2010, before the MX was released) is a general guide to the Yamaha AWM2 sample-based Synthesis Engine. At the time it was published, the MX was still still in the idea stage. While the MX is based on the same engines found in the Motif-series, it does not have all of the same exact features.

Please see the Owner’s Manual, Reference Manual, and the Data List Booklet for MX specific details. You are correct, the Synthesizer Parameter Manual covers far more than what is found in the MX...

Recommended: Use it to look up terms encountered in your product. Recognize that not all features are found in all products. It is a rather “General” guide to the Yamaha Synthesis Engine... it is not a product specific manual.

Thank you for your reply. That said, the MX is still a great machine and editing sounds via MX Tools is very powerful.
