On this forum, when I use the forum's search engine to search for:

scene tutorial

The first topic returned is:

https://yamahasynth.com/forum/request-training-video-for-montage#reply-13628

Which lists:

Basic - Scenes
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_c63TWO1dlY

and also Joel shows there are French videos which include a scene tutorial here:

http://www.moessieurs.com/videos-moessieurs-montage.html

The first video (English) is from Yamaha and and at 18 seconds shows that scenes can turn on or off saving different features. By default, not everything is saved - so you have to "opt in" to be sure to save what you want within a scene.

When you pause at 0:27 in the same video, you'll see a screenshot of the settings to opt in or out of. Notice how the video shows all are hilighted green "ON".

The key category for levels and mute would be "Mixing 1, Mixing 2".

Thank you Jason for linking my Moessieurs videos page.

[Edit]
To be more precise, Mr Spock can see the example on this video at 7min07

Take time to watch also the video completly, perhaps you can learn other things.

The split anwser for the other tread is at 5min38.

7:46 is around the area where scenes are addressed in the Moessieurs youtube tutorial. There is another thread discussing splits - where 5:38 would cover. At least the same video does cover both - to get the context you'll need to watch from 7:07

Another mystery solved 🙂
You have to select and turn on memory for each scene make your adjustments
then hold shift and hit that scene button and presto you get a conformation scene saved , actually it's quite elegant .

Thanks guys
