Hello all:)
Is there any way of using the YC pedal input to effect the rotary speed? I'm surprised this wasn't the default function of this input to begin with as Leslie cabinets (rotary speakers) are commonly controlled via a footswitch! At the very least this should be a selectable option in the menu (put it where the sustain option is on G2 for the CP and DX) but instead of switching between sustain on/ off have it switch the pedal input from swell to slow/fast per tap. Any thoughts @badmister?

A standard MW cc001 will flip the SLOW/FAST Rotary Speaker Speed, when controlling the refaceYC from an external controller.
The YC’s FOOT CONTROL jack is for an FC7 Expression pedal (sweep-type).

You can’t be surprised about that. The Chorale/Tremolo “Half-Moon” Switch that was fitted on the B3 is mimicked by the MW - One direction is slow, move the lever to fast. The MW is very much a “half-moon” type control.
All B3’s feature an Expression pedal, it is an essential/fundamental part of controlling musical volume on the organ. The fact that the pedal jack defaults to Expression should not be a surprise.

Assigning a foot controller to control speed would, imho, fall into the “unusual” category. There were foot *switches* that changed speed on later versions of the Leslie. But, no, the function of the YC’s foot *pedal* jack is fixed to Expression.
