REFACE DX: Trim recorded loop, and/or set loop length before recording?

The 1.20 update added quantizing, which improved the usefulness of the looper for a sloppy player like myself. I haven't installed 1.30 yet, but those improvements look handy, as well.

However, the looper would be a lot more useful if one could either:

a) Trim the length of a recorded loop,
c) define the loop length before recording.

As it stands now, I'll record something cool, but always seem to end up stopping the recording a beat or two too late, thus completely ruining my loop.

Is this something that could be considered in a future firmware update? I can't imagine it being hard to implement at all...
